All Hands on Deck: Preparing Students for the Future of Work by Building Partnerships with All Stakeholders

Presented by: Rebecca Dedmond and Steven Myers

As the workforce landscape continues to evolve, many career development challenges arise for students in the K-12 setting. In order to provide youth with meaningful career connections while they are in school, authentic learning experiences and partnerships need to be established with key stakeholders. This includes partnering with parents/guardians, business/industry leaders, community agencies and others. By increasing awareness and forming partnerships, counselors help students build career awareness, gain career exposure, and graduate with a myriad of career options, and a more informed life plan.
