Cynthia L. Miller - Assistant Professor
Dr. Cindy L. Miller is an experienced educator and administrator with more than three decades in secondary and postsecondary education. She has dedicated her career to preparing students for workforce success through innovative curriculum design, strong employer partnerships, and advocacy for Career and Technical Education (CTE). Her expertise spans career advising, workforce readiness, and professional development. As a Career and Technical Education Administrator for 14 years, Dr. Miller expanded work-based learning opportunities, built sustainable employer–education collaborations, and aligned career pathways with industry needs. In her current role as Assistant Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences Education at Texas Tech University, she prepares future educators and professionals by integrating career development principles into both teaching and research. A passionate advocate for student success, Dr. Miller has worked extensively with educators, policymakers, and industry leaders to enhance career exploration initiatives. She has led training on effective counseling strategies, supported the integration of career development into academic programs, and equipped learners with skills for lifelong career growth. Her work reflects a deep commitment to advancing the profession and inspiring the next generation of career services professionals.
