Helping Clients Identify and Market Their Brand Using Social Media

Presenter: Debra Osborn, Ph.D., M.S., Ed.S., NCC, DCC
Dr. Osborn is Professor & Co-Director of the Psychological and Counseling Services Program at Florida State University. A past-President of the National Career Development Association, she teaches graduate counseling students about using technology and social media in counseling. She is a Distance Certified Counselor.
Workshop Description and Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to explore and identify personal traits/elements that could be unique to your clients’ personal and professional brands and also learn how to translate them into personal branding keywords and statements
- Explore how to help clients communicate their brand (their special traits) via multiple marketing strategies, with a specific focus on how to effectively market using social media sites
- Learn about current social media sites and how best to use them for marketing purposes
- Identify ethical dilemmas with respect to marketing on social media and using technology

The Connecticut Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 2007. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Connecticut Counseling Association is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. * 1.5 clock hours may be awarded for the workshop if the session is attended in its entirety and attendees complete an evaluation for the workshop.
