The Maryland Career Development Association (MCDA) holds an annual recognition for National Career Development month by participating in NCDA's poetry and poster contest. An MCDA member who works in the school system partners with school counselors to encourage students to develop a theme-based competition submission, which is first judged at the state level, then forwarded to national headquarters for the final judging. In this way we are mindful of the importance of our field and the strong influence it holds on young minds.

The Career Center at the University of Baltimore has decided to celebrate NCD Month in a big way. We have the following experiences planned for our students (1) speed networking with alumni; (2) 10 Steps to Federal Employment workshop; (3) LinkedIn workshop and free headshots and (4) an interactive career decision making experience using the UB Career Cycle methodology. So far participation has been great!. What are you doing to celebrate NCD Month?
