• Purchase comprehensive travel and health insurance that covers medical care, emergencies, and trip disruptions.
• Stay informed about local laws, customs, and emergency contact numbers in the areas being visited.
• Use reputable transportation services and accommodations and share travel itineraries with trusted contacts.
• Seek out institutions, destinations, and service providers that demonstrate clear commitments to safety, accessibility, and inclusivity.
• When registering for the 2026 Conference, select the Ambassador Program: "I am an international participant and interested in having an NCDA ambassador at the conference." You will be matched with an experienced conference attendee with international experience who will support you throughout your stay in Minneapolis.
