NCDA Stands in Support of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community

Dear NCDA Members,

We are saddened by the unthinkable tragedy perpetrated against members of the Asian American community on March 16, 2021 in and around Atlanta as well as the ongoing violent attacks against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in various parts of the country. We denounce all forms of racism, xenophobia, and discrimination against people of color and acknowledge the trauma resulting from this tragedy.

Supporting NCDA’s mission, we believe everyone should be safe and secure in their work. Neither one's race nor one's occupation should be targeted for hatred and violence.

We are dedicated to providing resources to support those impacted by social injustice and inequity which can be found at NCDA Social Justice Resources.

NCDA, a founding division of the American Counseling Association, also supports their statement released on March 17, 2021.
