NCDA is looking for a member to fill the new role of CG7 Online Assessment Review Coordinator

NCDA is looking for a member to join the Publications Development Council (PDC) in the new role of
CG7 Online Assessment Review Coordinator.

CG7, or “A Comprehensive Guide to Career Assessment” (7th ed.) is a dynamic database of assessment reviews, available as an online subscription, that complements the foundational assessment chapters published in the print book of the same name. This website contains dozens of instrument reviews as well as comprehensive information on the application and global perspectives of assessment that career counselors, educators, students and practitioners will find invaluable.

Optimal candidates for the CG7 Online Assessment Review Coordinator will meet the following qualifications:

  1. NCDA member
  2. minimum of a master's degree in counseling or related field
  3. interested in career assessment (qualitative and quantitative)
  4. publication experience
  5. possess a wide network to tap into for identifying qualified instrument reviewers
  6. ability to help define the plan for obtaining instrument reviews, stay on top of activities, follow-up with reviewers, and collaborate with PDC members and the Publications Development Director to edit written reviews
  7. assures that at least 1 instrument review is completed and published each quarter
  8. takes initiative and keep the momentum going so activities are completed in a timely manner
  9. available to participate in PDC meetings or conference calls (typically one in February and one in July).

NCDA will compensate the CG7 Online Assessment Review Coordinator with a free subscription to the CG7 Online Companion. Additionally, a modest stipend will be approved annually by the NCDA Board and paid upon completion of each quarterly instrument review. Service term follows the NCDA fiscal year, from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. Ideal candidates will be available to start by the end of October 2021.
